The Sahne

History and Geography: The Sahne is a national park in spring valley near mount Gilboa and near Kibuz Nir David ,the park is considered one of the twenty most beautiful parks in the world.

The name of the park has several meanings : 1. In Arabic Sahne means hot water, because the water is 28 degrees celziusall year long. 2. In Hebrew it's called GanHashlosha (the garden of the three), because three people (David Mossinson, AaronAthkin and HaimSturman) died there when their car hit a mine and blew up in the year 1938
The source of the pool is from Einemel, the water flows in the northern part of the West Bank and eastern mountains of Gilboa.
There are two pools in the garden that are linked by bridges and also have differences in heights between them.
The first settlement in the area was probably in the Bronze Age.
In the fifties ,there was only a small pool, the place that we can see now would have remained just a small natural pool if people didn't care or wouldn't have made great investments.
Once, Einemel was the main water source of the people in the village of Beit She'an, Afterwards people built a dam that changed the direction of the water and created the second pool, and because of that the garden opened to the people at the tenth independence day of Israel.

Carp

Mullet

Mullet fish are born in salt water and then they begin their migration process to freshwater bodies. When they get to the freshwater bodies they live their lives there till they rich Sexual maturity. Then return to the sea water to lay their eggs.
The mullet fish were brought to the Sea of Galilee to enrich the population of sea in the lake, to woo the local fishing and tourism and to improve the water quality in the Lake. They are fed on algae that cause a decline in water quality.
The mullets cannot reproduce in the lake because there is no sea water available but still third of the fish in the lake are mullets, This is why it has great importance.

The common Tilapia

The common Tilapia fish is a very common fish in the Sea of Galilee and in Israel generally. The common Tilapia is originally from Africa and is smaller than other tilapia, the common tilapia's size can reach up to 20 cm but found some tilapia is about 33 cm. Tilapia fish found changes color during the breeding season. Changing color helps them find a \ a spouse, hiding from enemies (camouflage) and even help finding the parents.

Plants
