Switserland Forest

History And Geography: The forest was planted with the help from kakal’s friends from Switzerland,and that is the source of the name - Swiss Forest .

The climate in the forest area is Mediterranean and it is recommended to hike there throughout the year The trails are convenient for families.

When you are in the forest you can enjoy a beautiful view that includes volcanoes, steep slopes, spectacular wilds flowers’ fields and of course the jewel is the view of the Kinneret.

The forest actually descends from Ramat Porya to the Kinneret .

There are walking trails in the forest for nature outdoor hiking. There are also view points for watching birds.

It was very difficult to establish the forest because the ground sloped and the large amount of rain caused a major soil drift

Tragic disaster happened in the forest in the year 1934, when rocks and soil were swept towards the city of Tiberias, and 29 people were killed due to avalanche.

After the tragedy ,peoples built agricultural terraces with plants and trees ,to make sure that this tragic event will not happen again

Plants
